ATLANTA (AP) -- The Atlanta Braves' 14-winning streak ended Saturday night with a 1-0 loss to the last-place Miami Marlins, who scored the lone run on reliever Jordan Walden's wild pitch in the ninth inning.
Miami stopped its own six-game skid.
The Braves fell one victory shy of tying the 2000 team for the franchise's longest winning streak since the 1891 Boston Beaneaters won 18 straight.
Adeiny Hechavarria led off the Miami ninth with a triple and scored on the wild pitch by Walden (4-2).
Marlins starter Nate Eovaldi allowed one hit in seven innings. Mike Dunn (3-3) got the win and Steve Cishek earned his 24th save, striking out Paul Janish with a runner on first to end it.

Since returning from the DL on Aug. 3, B.J. Upton is hitting .476 (10-for-21) with 2 doubles.
The Washington Nationals, previously referred to as the team to beat in the National League East by almost all of baseball, opened the doors to the Braves at Nationals Park for a 3-game series and closed the door on all hope of winning the division in 2013. As Thomas Boswell wrote this week...
The Atlanta Braves lifted outfielder Justin Upton from
yesterday’s contest against the Miami Marlins after he suffered a cramp in his
left hamstring. Upton has been bothered by cramping throughout the season, but
he told reporters – including Eric Single of MLB.com – that the removal was
more of a precautionary measure than the sign of a serious injury.
Justin Upton, Chris Johnson and Brian McCann homered, Brandon Beachy pitched eight strong innings and the Atlanta Braves beat the Miami Marlins 5-0 Friday night for their 14th straight victory.
