Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre said he thinks he's a regular third baseman or just above average. The hardware he keeps collecting means otherwise. Beltre won his second-consecutive Gold Glove Tuesday and the fourth in the last six years. He was the lone Ranger to win an award as finalists Elvis Andrus (shortstop) and David Murphy (left field) didn't make the cut. Beltre ranked first in the AL with a .974 fielding percentage at third base, which was the second-best mark of his career. The eight errors made by him were the fewest of his career and he didn't make an error after Aug. 26. He did all that despite playing part of the season with a painful abdominal injury. "They're all special," said Beltre, who is just the seventh player in franchise history to win multiple Gold Gloves with the Rangers. "It's just nice to be recognized.
