Leading 2-0 with Adrian Gonzalez at the plate and the bases loaded in the fifth inning, it looked like the Red Sox were poised to break the game open. Instead, Yankees manager Joe Girardi called upon left-hander Boone Logan, who was able to strike out the hot-hitting Gonzalez on three pitches. Gonzalez finished 0-for-4 on the night, snapping his season-high 14-game hitting streak.
