Found November 06, 2008 on Dom D's Mets Fan Blog:
The Rocky Mountain news says, that the agents for Rockies closer and free agent Brian Fuentes reportedly put a four-year, $44 million proposal on the table to the Mets.

Executives with Cleveland and St. Louis indicated they would be interested only in a one-year or two-year deal

If you do the math, the Mets will be shelling out 11 Million for the next 4 years. The Mets are going to probably going to wait to see what Francisco Rodriquez wants because he essentially is younger at 26 yrs of age..Fuentes is 33.. Do the Mets want to take on another contract for four years when the guy will reach the same age as Wagner at the end of it??

We will see, stay tuned.......
