Chicago White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski scored on a groundout from first base after the Oakland A's infield left some bases unconvered during the seventh inning of Sunday's MLB game at U.S. Cellular Field.

With Pierzynski on first, White Sox batter Alexei Ramirez hit a routine grounder to A's shortstop Cliff Pennington. For some reason, third baseman Adam Rosales also went for the ball, bumping into Pennington as he picked it up. Pennington was able to throw out Ramirez at first, but Pierzynski, who ran to second on the grounder, continued on to third base as he realized no one was covering the bag.

A's catcher Derek Norris tried to make a play as he ran over to third base to step in for Rosales. Unfortunately, no one rotated over to cover home plate, so when Pierzynski saw home plate uncovered, he kept running and scored easily.

It was the final run the White Sox scored in their 7-3 victory over the A's. In case you were wondering, Ramirez did not get credited with an RBI on the play.
