The Albuquerque Isotopes are in first place of the PCL South with a record of 48-44, two games in front of the Oklahoma Red Hawks. The Isotopes play four games on the road this week against Round Rock before returning home Friday to play Iowa.
When I arrived at Isotopes Park yesterday I saw a new face in an Isotopes uniform it said Harper. I didn't know who he was or where he came from, but thanks to the Isotopes front office I have some more info on him and other player news.Brett Harper was released from the Blue Jays organization on July 13, and was singed by the Dodgers on July 17. He played the first half of the season in Triple-A Las Vegas where he hit .274 with 55 RBI and 15 home runs.Harper was drafted by the New York Mets in the 45th round of the 2001 First-Year Player Draft.
