TEAMS: New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox
Alex Rodriguez continues climbing himself on the home-run charts, as he now has 631 of them for his career, passing Ken Griffey Jr. for fifth all-time on the home-run list.
Rodriguez hit a homer on the first pitch of the fith inning in a game between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. A-Rod blasted the homer on Clay Buchholz, putting the Yankees’ lead up to 5-1.
This comes a day after Curtis Granderson’s amazing performance of three home runs, and not missing a single hit.
Rodriguez now needs to pass to Willie Mays for fourth place, as he hold 660 homers. Rodriguez needs to 29 more to pass that feat.
