There is no player who has played the game of baseball better than Alex Rodriguez over the past 18 years. From his defensive play at shortstop and third base, to his ability to hit for average and power, along with a knack for stealing bases, the New York Yankees beleaguered and sometimes toxic third baseman has done it all better than anyone during his career. But he is more of lightning rod for controversy these days, rather than his stellar play. Rumors persist about performance-enhancing drugs, while he gets into silly tiff with Yankee management. Fans remember the 12 strikeouts in 25 at bats in last year’s postseason, and not the 2 MVP seasons and great 2009 October which delivered the Yanks 27th World Series. He knows people want him to go away, to just up and quit, but A-Rod is not about to do that. Speaking with USA Today, Rodriguez touched on number of topics, as it is his first extensive interview of the year as he continues to battle back from offseason hip surgery. He made it clear that he isn’t packing it in anytime soon, and his intentions are to prove the naysayers wrong. “I know people [...]

Rodriguez went hitless in his two games for the Charleston RiverDogs on Tuesday and Wednesday, but his Class-A teammates were lauding...

A-Rod went 0-for-2 with a groundout and a strikeout in his rehab debut Tuesday at Low-A Charleston and then 0-for-2 with two groundouts in his second game with Charleston on Wednesday. Most people would say, ‘Get me out of here. Trade me. Do anything.’ “But...

Why The Albert Pujols Contract Is Already Worse Than The Alex Rodriguez Contract

It’s no secret that the Yankees took their place in ‘all time sports blunders’ history by signing Alex Rodriguez on for an additional ten years, at the hefty price of $275 million. But the contact the Angels offered Albert Pujols is proving to be even more of a disaster than the one bestowed upon Arod. The warning signs were there, the Angels simply chose to avoid them...

A-Rod Goes 0-2 In First Rehab Assignment

Alex Rodriguez made his first appearance in a baseball game this season with the Yankees Single-A affiliate in Charleston. A-Rod seems to already be in post-season form going 0-2 with a weak ground out to third and striking out looking. ESPN went big and broke into SportsCenter for a live look at A-Rod’s return.  It’s like no one remembers that the last time we saw Rodriguez...

Point of No Return

Alex Rodriguez reached the point of no return a long time back but apparently he doesn't know it yet.  It happened when he went on the DL this last time.  Many people think it was when his name was mentioned in connection with the Miami PED clinic but no it was well before then. A-Rod was already tarnished by the PED brush.  In fact, he was pretty much covered in the paint...
