It's been FAR too long since we've had a doppelganger, but that ends today. Courtesy of long-time reader Juantastic comes this gem.

An All Star as a starter in 2011, Texas Rangers pitcher Alexi Ogando was shifted to the bullpen for the playoffs and has remained there for the 2012 season, occassionally picking up a spot start. Banned from entering the US for five years for participating in a human trafficking ring, the Rangers waited patiently for the outfielder-turned-pitcher because they had that much faith in his arm. He's repaid that faith with stellar performances in his two full major league seasons thus far.

Pushed into the top seat when his running mate Eliot Spitzer's hooker scandal broke, David Paterson served as the governor of New York from 2008-10. Legally blind, he was the first non-white governor in New York's history. Take THAT white America! No stranger to sex scandals himself, Paterson briefly entertained attempting to run for reelection in 2010 before it became clear that he would be unmercilessly trounced. He currently hosts a radio show on WOR in Manhattan.

Alexi may be Dominican by birth but Juantastic and I believe these men to be doppelgangers. Agree or disagree, vote in the poll below!

Alexi Ogando and David Paterson, Doppelgangers?
