The Boston Red Sox got six solid innings from Alfredo Aceves and Daniel Nava gave the Red Sox all the runs that were needed with a two-run homer in the third inning and Boston beat Tampa Bay 2-1.Aceves (3-1), recalled before the game from Triple-A Pawtucket, went into the start with a 6.57 ERA and allowed one run, four hits and four walks.“Ace gave us a huge lift today,” Boston manager John Farrell said. “He did an excellent job, and the bullpen came in and was stellar. This was a very good series to win here and Ace had a lot to do with that.”Andrew Bailey recorded the save  after giving up a leadoff single to Rays first baseman James Loney in the ninth. Tampa Bay (35-30) dropped two of three to Boston and are now five games back in the American League EastEvan Longoria cut the deficit in half with a solo home run in the sixth inning. Longoria has homered in three straight games after homering just once in the previous 26.Chris Archer threw 103 pitches in four innings of work, struck out seven and walked four. Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon said Archer was wild, and the right-hander admitted he tried to do too much, which is “out of character for me.”
