Analyzing Offseason “Promises” From A’s President

A's President Michael Crowley / Getty Images It’s funny, when I saw an email in my inbox from Michael Crowley, I almost deleted it. Who the heck is Michael Crowley anyway. Turns out, he owns the A’s. Go figure. He has to be the least visible president of any Bay Area sports organization – especially now that Warriors super-sucker former owner Chris Cohan is gone. Anyway, Crowley sent an email to all A’s fans offering up his high hopes entering the season, what he liked and some promises moving forward. So, to spare you from reading a long letter from a president you probably have never heard of, I thought I’d pull out the relevant pieces: 1. Crowley credits Bob Melvin for helping add 25 points to the A’s team batting average and going .500 since the All-Star break 2.
