Last night was a good night to stay home from Camden Yards.
Not because it rained all day. Though it did. Not because the Orioles didn’t look terrific. They did, taking care of the Blue Jays 7-2 on the strength of Jason Berken’s first big-league start. Aubrey Huff, Adam Jones and Nolan Reimold all homered.
Comin' atcha. Wieters will be an Oriole Friday.
It was a good night to stay home because, in the second inning, as Huff hit his long homer onto the flag court, O’s poohbah Andy MacPhail joined MASN broadcasters Gary Thorne and Buck Martinez in the booth. MacPhail had some news to announce to the viewing audience:
