Go ahead and throw at Victorino's head again...2-run homerun! Go ahead Dodgers fans wave your wannabe rally towels with canned enthusiasm and see a Matt Stairs shot go deep into the night...think it just landed in El Segundo (by the way, I left my wallet there, anyone find it?. Today is a good day, it's an off day, and a day Dodgers fans and their shit-o-rific team must sit around weeping in corners wondering what the hell just happened to them. • I was turning the game on and off (watching the giants get their butt spanked too), it was great win for the Phillies!!!!
  • What a night! I couldn't sleep. I watched the post game show twice.
  • It was just so desreving with all the Dodgers started Sunday night that the Phillies beat them AGAIN. There were a few people (men) crying in the stands.
Take that Dodgers, that's what you get for costing Shane 25,000 (?). I didn't see you trying to act like cavemen last night!!!!
  • Lidge did something to me yesterday he's never done before. He gave me heart palpatations in the 8th inning! A great 9th inning for hin, but I was going nuts in the 8th. He's just like Tug McGraw was in 1980. He gets you thinking he's going to blow it, then gets out of the hole he dug!
  • Crying? There is no crying in baseball. An exciting Philly evening. Anytime the Giants lose is a good day. LA fans will probably not even come out Wed evening. I can no longer listen to McCarver and Buck. Time fillers...
  • If you're a Dodgers fan you're crying. Hahahahahahahahahaha............
  • Nice. Yay no manny in the series! can I say that it is karma? lol.
  • seems to me like Buck favors the Dodgers for some reason?

because Manny vs. Redsox sounds better to FOX then Phillies vs. Rays.

that affects his paycheck. the ratings go down, he goes down. Stairs not only may have hit the MOON but also hit bucks wallet.

serves him right secret manny fan.
  • yeah buck is in love with Joe Torre i think i mean its dodgers this dodgers that but hey phils are up 3-1. wht did Vic get fined for exactly for saying hey hit me here not in my head i mean if they wanted to fine someone fine Russell Martin's dumba** i mean he said on camera after game 3 "we didnt throw at his head we threw over his head" with a cocky half smile and tone. russell dont you relize that ball could get away from the pitcher and seriously hurt someone i mean come on. and the funny thing is the pitch in game 2 tht myers threw was way behind manny and not even a fastball it clearly slipped.
  • i thought buck was in love with troy aikman?
  • good to see the media eating there words first it was we like the brewers in this series too much good pitching NOT!! then now it has been the Dodgers because they have Manny and Manny can do it all by himself. while manny has played well it turns out he cant do it all alone after all. how about that dodgers bullpen last night good going

Stone Cold Matt Stairs

Dodgers fans shouldn't be sad Stairs kicked their ass. They should be glad he didn't kill them!

Shake, Rattle, & Roll- Phils/Dodgers

Congratulation Dodgers, you managed to win a game and actually make the NLCS competitive. For good measure you stuck out your girly little chests and pounded them by throwing high and tight to Shane Victorino. Vic may be small, but he'll roll your ass in a fight. Screw the Dodgers, this was only one game. Phils will come back tonight and shut their yaps. Click on URL...

Victorino forging place in Phillies post-season history

Shane Victorino is asserting himself alongside catalysts like Pete Rose and Lenny Dykstra in Philadelphia baseball lore. The Flyin' Hawaiian is everywhere. Consider his October checklist. He fell the giant C.C. Sabathia, who was supposedly invincible, with a grand slam in Game 2 of the division series. He delivered four RBIs and a clutch catch in Game 2 of the NLCS. Then yesterday...

Finally Some Distaste in the NLCS

L.A. makes the case for us as to why they're a bunch of douche bag, fairweather fans.

Of Matt Stairs' Quotes And Phillies' F-Bombs

I had a few people ask me if I caught the F-bomb following the Phils win on FOX last night. Of course I did, but I didn't really have anything to pair with until now. That video is at the bottom but the MLB quote of the year comes from Matt Stairs via The Fightins...."When you get that nice celebration coming into the dugout and you're getting your ass hammered by guys a?" there...

Matt Stairs Says He Likes To Get His Ass Hammered

Yeah, he may have completely sunk the Dodgers' playoff dreams, but at least none of the Dodger players admit to getting their ass hammered and liking it. "'You want to get that one big hit where you feel like you're part of the team,' Stairs said. 'Not that I don't feel like I'm part of the team, by no means, but when you get that nice celebration coming into the dugout...

15 Years Later, Philadelphia May Finally Have Something Good to Say About Canada

It's been fifteen years since Joe Carter's liner off of Mitch Williams unleashed hell on Philly fans.A Fifteen.A Do you have any idea how many hot dogs John Kruk has put down in depression? No? Check out Baseball Tonight and, sadly, you'll know.A But fifteen years.A For a town that doesn't need much reason (if [...]

Philllies continue to climb stairs to Fall Classic

The Phillies are just one win away from a trip to the World Series following a stunning 7-5 comeback win over the Dodgers, powered by a pair of 8th-inning, two-run homers by Shane Victorino and Matt Stairs. Summary: The Dodgers led 5-3 and were five outs away from pulling even in the best-of-seven series when Victorino, the clear catalyst this entire post-season, deposited a two...

The Phillies Take The NLCS

Just a great showing by the Phils from start to finish in this Series. Tonight, with a little help from an early J-Roll homer, a few Furcal errors and some amazing pitching by Cole Hamels, the took the National League Crown. Here are your highlights....Cole Hamels is your MVP after only allowing three runs in two NLCS games, but as you could tell in the clip above, Shane Victorino...

Following the fracas, all eyes on next day's starters

Joe Blanton and Derek Lowe square off in Los Angeles, where a baseball game is scheduled. "Squashed." That's how Shane Victorino put it when Ken Rosenthal stuck a microphone in his face and asked about the conflict of interest that caused Hiroki Kuroda to throw over his head. Vic said "squashed" before brushing off reporters moments later by refusing to talk about this issue, presumably...

Please, No Moyer!

Jamie Moyer allowed five runs in the first inning of game three of the NLCS in Los Angeles, and the Phillies lost by a score of 7-2. Tempers flared early on.

Moyer More Unlucky Than Bad in Game 3

One look at his pitching line in Game 3 of the NLCS in Los Angeles against the Dodgers and you're forced to conclude that Jamie Moyer was absolute garbage. He's no stranger to the garbage start either, as he tends to have one every once in a while: September 16, August 26, and May 10, for instance. But if you look a little deeper, you'll see that Moyer's failure was due less to his...

Phillies and Dodgers like to empty their benches after playing beanball

I think I might just post videos all day as this weekend had so many great moments. Here is the altercation between the Phillies and Dodgers that had Manny Ramirez all riled up after Shane Victorino and Hiroki Kuroda exchanged words after the top half inning was over. Victorino has found himself in the middle of a couple of these altercations. Just a couple of weeks ago he got into...
