Angels' outfielder Peter Bourjos will be shut down for the remainder of the 2013 after he undergoes surgery on his right wrist. Bourjos injured his wrist back in June and never properly healed the broken bone. The outfielder will have a pin inserted to promote a healthy recovery, according to LA Times' Mike DiGiovanna. Bourjos has been struggling since returning from the disabled list, especially on the offensive side of the diamond. "It's pretty frustrating," Bourjos said of the hand injury. He also missed a large portion of the season earlier this year with a hamstring injury. The season ending surgery may have an effect on how the Angels approach the trade market this offseason. With a surplus of outfielders, the Halos could get many offers on the young and speedy Bourjos. This has been the circumstance since the emergence of Mike Trout, but the Halos have ignored all offers and have been adamant about keeping him. The front offices' feelings may change towards Bourjos, especially with the long-term contract of Josh Hamilton, quiet dominance of J.B. Shuck, and projectability of Kole Calhoun. J.B. Shuck isn't the player you think he is

If you believe what the Angels are trying so hard to convince us of, J.B. Shuck is a very good player, perhaps even the AL Rookie of the Year! At the least he has been a brilliant diamond in the rough that Jerry Dipoto has unearthed. Such a great story! So scrappy! So gritty! So very gritty! Really it was manifest destiny for Shuck. There is nothing Angel fans love more than...

Better Late than Never; Angels defeat Rangers 8-3

You realize that the Angels are only 10 games out of the second wild card? I believe people I believe... Okay not really. But the drive to .500 is legitimate.
