Talks 'went right up to the deadline,' GM Tony Reagins says. The potential deal for Halladay reportedly involved left-hander Joe Saunders and at least three other players. Roy Halladay is still a Toronto Blue Jay and Heath Bell is still a San Diego Padre, despite the Angels' attempts to pry the pitchers from their respective teams right up until today's 1 p.m. PDT nonwaiver trade deadline.
