The Angels have agreed to terms with Scott Downs on a 3 year $15 million dollar deal. No he’s not Carl Crawford or even Adrian Beltre for that matter but Downs is one of the best left handed relief pitcher in baseball. He owns a 2.36 ERA over 262 appearances since the beginning of the 2007 season. When you add him into the bullpen mix along with the recently acquired Hisanori Takahashi it gives the Angels two top notch left handed relief options. Even without the presence of a dominant closer ala Rafael Soriano the Angels now have a really solid bull pen.
So all in all this is a good singing …..but we want more!
