It came down to 163 games last year to decide which representative from the American League Central would make the postseason. The Detroit Tigers (83-72) will host the Minnesota Twins (81-74) in a four game series that could determine the AL Central champion this year, like I predicted here and here. The AL Central gets ridiculed for being the weakest division, but it still provides the best playoff race, as we've seen over the past couple years.   9/28: Nick Blackburn (11-11, 4.18 ERA) @ Rick Porcello (14-9, 4.14 ERA) Nick Blackburn started the season off great, and then struggled during the second half. However, he's looked like he's turned it around again. In his past two games against AL Central rivals Chicago and Cleveland, Blackburn lasted 6.1 and 7.0 innings respectively.
