There was something I not only said at the beginning of the season, but reiterated anytime someone would ask.  "The Jays are NOT going to contenders this season, the hot bats will average out, and the losses will eventually pile up." To keep a positive spin on how well the Jays came out of the gates, I would also often say to enjoy the wins while they were happening, because I still remember the beginning of the season as if it were yesterday, and it was hella-entertaining.Sadly, those days are long gone.  Every game that passes, either the bats or the pitching lets the team down.  Some days they will score eight or nine runs, but the pitchers will allow 10, and some nights when the starting pitcher is hot-as in last night's game when rookie sensation (yeah thats right, Im going as far as calling him a sensation) Ricky Romero pitched eight innings allowing only three runs- and the bats are stone cold. The Jays are under .500, Rolen's amazing hitting streak is over, and the excitement that the Jays would so often produce early in the season is gone.  The All-Star Break could not have come at a better time.
