Chicago Cubs Online:
According to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times on Monday, the Cubs acknowledged a potential fit with the Padres' current third baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff. The Padres reportedly have been looking to move the free-swinging Kouzmanoff to make room for Chase Headley at third base. Kouzmanoff is in his last year before becoming arbitration eligible and is making only $432,400 this season.
Bruce Levine mentioned in his blog on Tuesday night not to be surprised if the Cubs make a few roster moves in the next couple of days, including a possible callup for Jake Fox...but did not mention the Padres' third baseman.
