Now to do some jumping around major league spring training camps with some of the diamonds in the rough. Names you don’t know now, but might soon will.

 

      Jason Lane, Arizona—“My arm is somewhat fresh, and I’ve taken care of it,” said the first baseman-outfielder, trying to return to the majors as a pitcher with the Diamondbacks.  “I don’t have the wear and tear like a 35-year-old pitcher would have.”  Lane was an outfielder at Southern Maryland (Waldorf) in the Atlantic League as recently as two summers ago.
