The Arizona Diamondbacks returned right-handerTrevor Bauer to Class AAA Reno on Wednesday to refine his game, a day after the least effective of his four major league starts. Bauer never seemed to find a rhythm in a 4-0 loss to Cincinnati on Tuesday, walking five, throwing two wild pitches and making an errant pickoff throw. The Reds got only one hit off him, Ryan Ludwick's three-run home run that followed two walks in a 41-pitch third inning, but it made the difference. Bauer was 1-2 with a 6.06 ERA in 16 1/3 innings after his promotion from Reno on June 28. He struck out 17 but walked 13. "I'm fine with it. It's about winning up here, and I wasn't giving a team a very good chance to win. I'll go down and work on being able to throw strikes," Bauer told reporters. "It is frustrating, though, knowing I am so much better than this. My stuff has been terrible. My location has been terrible. No big deal. It will get back to where it was.
