Found July 22, 2013 on My Sports Rumors:
There’s more drama in Yankee land as New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez decided to go for a second opinion on his quadriceps injury. That’s right, ARod decided he needed a second opinion on a quad strain, a very minor grade one strain. Let the conspiracy theories around Alex and his return to baseball start back up. So here are actual facts. A-Rod went for an MRI exam yesterday and the Yankees announced he had a Grade 1 quad strain. For the other several hundred players in baseball that would be it. Not A-Rod. The Post learned Rodriguez intended to go for a second opinion to Dr. Bryan Kelly, who performed his hip surgery last winter. However, general manager Brian Cashman told me he spoke directly to Rodriguez and was assured the one-time slugger is not going for a second opinion. However, after that, my source once again reiterated Rodriguez will indeed see Kelly, just he doesn’t feel like he has to keep the Yankees informed about seeing a doctor not employed by the te...

A-Rod back at minor league complex

Alex Rodriguez has reported back to the New York Yankees' minor league complex, three days after he was diagnosed with a strained left quadriceps on the final day of his injury rehabilitation assignment. Alex Rodriguez could face lifetime ban

Baseball’s problem: A-Rod is still the sports biggest story

Source: Streeter Lecka/Getty Images North America It has to say something about an athlete, or maybe more so a sport, that even when he is not playing he remains the story. Alex Rodriguez has not played a single major league game this season and yet he is in more headlines then anyone. Rodriguez made headlines with his conditioning program, his tweet that he was cleared, and the...

Alex Rodriguez could reportedly still face lifetime ban from baseball

It would be a shock at this point if New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez was not suspended for his alleged involvement with Tony Bosch’s Biogenesis clinic. The suspension is expected to come sometime within the next few weeks, but MLB fans are still wondering how strong of a statement Bud Selig is looking to [...]

A-Rod saga multi-layered, lawyered

If you had to bet which would you say Alex Rodriguez stands a better chance of doing? Returning to form as a healthy player for the New York Yankees or avoiding a monstrous suspension from baseball? On both fronts A-Rod appears to be trailing by five runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. Really the only question now is how each of his games will end. Is Rodriguez 38...

One down. How many to go? Are these the last days of Alex Rodriguez?

Originally, this post was going to be kind of an open letter to MLB and Commissioner Bud Selig. It would have been something like, "Dear MLB, please quit dragging this process out and just suspend Alex Rodriguez. Enough with the leaks to the press about suspensions to come. Enough with A-Rod coming up with more injuries to extend his stay on the disabled list. Put us all...

Alex Rodriguez reportedly getting a second opinion on quad strain behind the Yankees’ back

Well, well, well. We have yet another rather entertaining story about Alex Rodriguez. This particular tale started yesterday when the Yankees announced that a MRI revealed a Grade 1 quad strain that would put Rodriguez on the shelf for 7-10 days. But instead taking the MRI as gospel, Rodriguez decided that he wanted to get a second opinion on his injury. And he also decided to not...
