The Houston Astros are interested in Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Hideki Matsui. Hideki Matsui
Astros general manager Jeff Lunhow has had internal discussions about adding Matsui as a potential DH. The Astros move to the American League for this upcoming season.
While the Astros are interested, Matsui has not made any comments in regards to if he would like to play the 2013 season. He is 38-years-old and is on the downside of his career.
He played in 34 games for the Rays with a .147 batting average with two home runs and seven RBI’s in 95 at-bats. After 34 games, he was released by the Rays.

It appears as if B.J. Upton’s time with the Tampa Bay Rays is just about up, as the free agent center fielder is rumored to be looking at deals with numerous other teams. While he could re-sign with the Rays, such a deal appear unlikely, with other teams likely willing to give Upton a much better offer than Tampa Bay.

Via Pastapadre comes a look at the new Houston Astros uniforms. The Astros went back in time a bit, with the new uniforms being a re-do of a previous version of the team's duds. The uniforms were unveiled last weekend but this is a good look at each of the styles the Astros will wear when they move to the American League, from the MLB 13: The Show videogame.
