Hideki Matsui Astros general manager Jeff Lunhow has had internal discussions about adding Matsui as a potential DH. The Astros move to the American League for this upcoming season. While the Astros are interested, Matsui has not made any comments in regards to if he would like to play the 2013 season. He is 38-years-old and is on the downside of his career. He played in 34 games for the Rays with a .147 batting average with two home runs and seven RBI’s in 95 at-bats. After 34 games, he was released by the Rays. © 2007-2012 The Capital Sports Report.
