HOUSTON (AP) -- Omar Infante's bases-loaded two RBI single in the 12th inning lifted the Miami Marlins to a 5-3 win over the Houston Astros on Wednesday night. Logan Morrison singled in the 12th before a walk by Giancarlo Stanton. Greg Dobbs grounded into a force out at second and left runners on the corners. Reliever David Carpenter (0-2) walked John Buck with two outs to load the bases and set up Infante's game-winner. The victory improves the Marlins to 8-1 on their nine-game road trip. Ryan Webb (2-1) pitched 1 1-3 scoreless innings for the win. The Marlins had runners at first and second with no outs in the 10th after a single by Hanley Ramirez and Jed Lowrie's second error of the game, which allowed Morrison to reach. But closer Brett Myers retired the next three Marlins to escape the jam. Heath Bell, who was demoted from the closer spot last week, allowed a hit in a scoreless 10th. Brian Bogusevic tied it at 3-all with an RBI single off Steve Cishek with two...

With outing, Rodriguez makes case for rotation

HOUSTON Aneury Rodriguez knew in advance that this stay in Houston would be brief, something akin to what Jordan Lyles faced when he was recalled to make a spot start in Cincinnati on April 29. The onus sat squarely on Rodriguez to leave a lasting impression in the mind of Astros manager Brad Mills, to pitch so effectively that Astros brass might view Rodriguez as the solution...

Struggling Miami Marlins center fielder Emilio Bonifacio was dropped in the batting order from second to seventh Wednesday, and it seems to have paid off. Bonifacio went 2-for-6. Carlos Lee fouls pitch into Astros radio booth and nearly hits Jed Lowrie with another (Video)

When Houston Astros Carlos Lee is at the plate, you better make sure that you keep your head on a swivel. Catch of the Year? Can’t “Waits” to Watch (Video)

Austin Waits, of the Houston Astros’ Double-A team, the Corpus Christi Hooks, makes an absolutely beautiful and acrobatic catch in the outfield. Look as he crashes into and over the wall along with his teammate, “Barnes,” and somehow comes down with the ball. What may be most amazing is how Waits was able to hold onto the ball…But wait…Did Waits hold on? Uhhhh??? I...

We Meet Again…Wait, Have We Met?

Seriously, I’m more looking forward to seeing that new ballpark, if only to laugh/cry at that home run monstrosity. But I’m getting ready to laugh/cry at this lack of offense.  Melky, Belt, it’s time to start delivering.
