Atlanta Braves closer Craig Kimbrel is really good at pitching, and according to this story from the USA Today, he isn't too bad at golf either.Kimbrel, 24, spent much of Monday hitting the links at ChampionsGate Golf Club in Orlando, Fla. On the second hole, Kimbrel allegedly lost sight of his ball after driving it off the tee. He just figured it disappeared into a greenside bunker. However, after searching far and wide around the green, it turns out his ball landed 180-yards away at the bottom of the cup for a hole-in-one."I couldn't believe it," Kimbrel said. "I think it went in on the fly. It was my first one."The 2011 National League Rookie of the Year celebrated his fantastic shot by buying a round of drinks for everyone at the clubhouse after his round was over. What a classy gesture."It was a charity event," Kimbrel laughed. "There was an open bar. I paid for it all."The Alabama native will be entering his third full big league season in 2013. He posted a tidy 1.01 ERA while recording 42 saves in 63 appearances last season. He owns a 1.46 ERA in 163 games overall.Kimbrel is slated to pitch for Team USA in the upcoming World Baseball Classic. But if he continues to ace holes on the golf course, the PGA may want to have him moonlight on the pro tour, as well.
