The Braves are 15-17 at Turner Field and are tied for the second fewest home wins in the NL, ahead of only Chicago, which has 14. The Braves were 3-6 on their homestand from June 8-17 Trevor Bauer, the third pick in last years draft out of UCLA, will make his major league debut for the Diamondbacks on Thursday. He replaces Arizona starter Joe Saunders, who is on the 15-day DL. Bauer is 11-1 with a 2.19 ERA in 15 minor league starts this year. The Braves swept the Diamondbacks in Arizona on April 19-21, but they are coming off a sweep of the Cubs and have won five of their past six games. The Nationals Stephen Strasburg is 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA and Gio Gonzalez is 1-1 with a 3.86 against the Braves this season. Whos hot Jason Heywards hot June continues. Hes hitting .397 (24-for-65) this month with four home runs, 11 RBIs and a 1.089 OPS. Heyward has a 10-game hitting streak and has hit in 17 of the 20 games hes played this month. He went 3-for-4 in Sundays loss to the Red Sox to raise his average to .278, up from .233 on May 30. Martin Prado has eight hits in his past 20 at-bats (.400) to raise his average from .308 to .315 in the past week. Prado has a career-high eight steals. Jonny Venters hasnt allowed a run in his past 4 13 innings, or since his giving up three hits and four runs against the Yankees on June 12. Craig Kimbrel has been untouchable since May 4. Hes gone 16 consecutive scoreless appearances (16 innings), giving up only three hits in that span with three walks and 24 strikeouts. Kimbrel leads the NL with 21 saves and has a 1.33 ERA with 44 strikeouts in 27 innings. Whos not Dan Uggla is fourth in the majors with 50 walks, but he has only four singles in his past 35 at-bats (.114) with one RBI since June 9. Hes also struck out 82 times this season and hitting .175 in June. Brian McCann is hitting .222 with two home runs and four RBIs in June, dropping his season average to .235. He hit .167 (4-for-24) on the road trip. Chipper Jones is hitting .189 (7-for-37) with two RBIs since being activated from the DL on June 10. Chad Durbin has allowed three hits and two runs in his past 2 13 innings after going 15 13 consecutive innings (19 appearances) without allowing a run. Mike Minor has allowed 17 home runs in his past 10 starts after giving up none in his first three starts and one in his first four. Injuries Atlanta: Brandon Beachy (elbow) is on the 15-day DL. Arizona: SS Stephen Drew (ankle), P Takashi Saito (calf) and Saunders (shoulder) are on the15-day DL. Washington: P Drew Storen (elbow), U Mark DeRosa (oblique), P Henry Rodriguez (finger), OF Jayson Werth (wrist) and 1B Chad Tracy (groin) are on the DL. On the farm Top pitching prospect Julio Teheran was knocked around on Saturday, giving up four earned runs and walking three batters in six innings. Hes 5-4 with a 3.50 ERA at Gwinnett this season. Mississippi catcher Christian Bethancourt has been selected to play for the World team in the All-Star Futures Game on July 8. 1B3B Joey Terdoslavich has hit in six straight games and is hitting .444 (16-for-36) with six doubles and nine RBIs in his past nine games. Lynchburgs Aaron Northcutt, a 10th-round pick in the 2009 draft, threw a seven-inning no-hitter against Salem on Friday. Northcutt (7-4) struck out 10 and walked two batters to lower his ERA to 3.38. Hes given up 12 hits and three earned runs in his past 26 innings.
