I am really curious to see if they are able to pull this off with Baseball Wives.
To be blunt the reason Basketball Wives works is because it has a HOOD element to it. Those ghetto fabulous type of interactions is what keeps the audience engaged.

The Baseball Wives cast is, Tanya Grace (ex-wife of retired Chicago’s Mark Grace), Brooke Villone (wife of big-league veteran Ron Villone), Anna Benson (wife of Arizona pitcher Kris Benson), Chantell Kendall (ex-wife of Kansas City’s Jason Kendall) and Jordana Lenz (I’m assuming she’ll be the Royce/Draya/Mercedes of the group).
The star of course is Anna Benson. She has the most name recognition for her very public relationship with Kris Benson. They have been out of the spotlight for a couple of years, but for awhile she was a very hot topic and I assume VH1 is trying to rekindle that spark.
VH1 is going to ride this “Almost Wives” fade until the wheels fall off.
