You can find Matt Kemp, the Los Angeles Dodgers star centerfielder, on the latest cover of ESPN Magazine.
While the cover is amazing, it’s the story on the inside that is much more compelling…
The feature article speaks of Kemp’s re-injured hamstring, his days playing high school basketball in Oklahoma, the challenges he faced during the 2010 MLB season, his subsequent maturation, and the baby brother who left the lives of he and his mom much too soon.
I can’t begin to tell you how fine I find Kemp to be (the 5 o’clock shadow, the dreamy eyes, and the smile that melts hearts) but, aside from all that, he is one incredible baseball player. So much so that I wish he played for the White Sox.
Come back strong, Bison.

Nearly four weeks ago, Mark Ellis was injured so badly that he had to have emergency surgery to relieve the pressure that had built up in his left leg. But Wednesday was his second day of taking grounders at Dodger Stadium, and he will likely take batting practice by the weekend.
"To be where I'm at now is definitely a positive," Ellis said Wednesday. "I've...

Clayton Kershaw has had tremendous success so far in his career, especially at home. But Friday night continued a disturbing trend for Kershaw at Dodger Stadium. Kershaw allowed five runs in six innings against the White Sox, his second straight home start in which he has allowed five or more runs. It is the only time in Kershaw's career that he has allowed more than three...
LOS ANGELES It was supposed to be a battle between the two best young lefthanded starting pitchers in baseball. However, as is often the case when there's a highly-touted matchup, it didn't quite live up to the billing.
Reigning National League Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw was shaky from the beginning, as Adam Dunn launched a two-run homer in the top of the first...

MWAH has a new writer, Mr. Loren Robb. Allow him to introduce himself.
Loren Robb, an Angels fan since 2000, was born with a baseball in his hand. Somewhere along the line it fell out, to his dismay, but now he remains an avid spectator from Fountain Valley, CA. Loren attends the University of San Diego as a Marketing major and can be reached at his Facebook, Twitter, or email...
Dodgers star – and my boo in my head. Yes, it’s a must I remind you – Matt Kemp was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Thursday night. Discussed was Matt’s love of footwear – he owns over 300 pairs (me too Matt well more like 100 but you see the simpatico), how his mother keeps [...]

Matt Kemp is a fan favorite with the ladies, here he is above making one fans night by signing an autograph. Matt also stopped by Jimmy Kimmel last night. Hopefully he can get back on the field and help the Dodgers win a world series this year.-TO

I wasn't intending to write a post about the Dodgers' interest in Ryan Dempster, but it goes hand-in-hand with the Dodgers' reported interest in Matt Garza.
Nathan Eovaldi has filled in admirably in the absence of Ted Lilly. There's no timetable for his return.
Everyone behind Clayton Kershaw is no better than a middle-of-the-rotation starting pitcher...
James Loney scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch by Matt Thornton in the eighth inning, and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Chicago White Sox 7-6 on Friday night in the opener of an interleague series between division leaders.
Alex Rios hit his second homer of the game in the top half of the eighth, but the Dodgers went in front again in the bottom half.

Rumors have been swirling for a few days now that the Dodgers are interested in Ryan Dempster, but it’s a bit of a curious fit because the Dodgers already have Clayton Kershaw, Chris Capuano, Chad Billingsley, Aaron Harang, Ted Lilly, and Nate Eovaldi on staff. All six of those pitchers (assuming Lilly has no structural
At age 24, Clayton Kershaw has already won a Cy Young Award with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
If 23-year-old Chris Sale continues to pitch the way he has for the Chicago White Sox this season, he could be a serious contender for the same honor.
Two of the majors' best young left-handers match up Friday night when these first-place teams open a weekend set at Dodger Stadium.
The Los Angeles Kings took the Stanley Cup to Dodger Stadium on Wednesday for a group photo with the Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels and a chance for everyone to throw out the first pitch before the conclusion of the annual interleague Freeway Series.
