Beckham Leads White Sox in Demolition of Yankees

Meanwhile, White Sox rookie third-baseman Gordon Beckham, at second base prior to the play, ran to third base. But he ran through the bag, thinking Dye made the final out of the inning. Problem was, there was only two out. Once he realized his mistake, it was too late. First baseman Cody Ransom caught him daydreaming and tossed the ball to third baseman Alex Rodriguez, who ran a quarter of the way down the line to tag Beckham. Now the inning was over.
