NASHVILLE, Tenn. The Cardinals search for an assistant hitting coach has apparently finished with a familiar name. A source confirmed Thursday morning that Bengie Molina, former big league catcher and older brother of Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina, will likely be named the clubs hitting coach in the near future. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch was first to report the news on Tuesday. The Cardinals and Molina have yet to discuss salary terms, according to a source, but thats not believed to be a deal-breaker. The move will allow Bengie and Yadier to be together on the same team for the first times in their careers. Bengie and brother Jose Molina were teammates in Anaheim from 2001-05 but younger brother Yadier has yet to have the opportunity to share teams with either of his brothers. The older Molina has no coaching experience but hit .274 during 13 big league seasons with the Angels, Blue Jays, Giants and Rangers. He last played with Texas in 2010. The 38-year-old never walke...
