The Toronto Blue Jays added yet another catcher today since they claimed Eli Whiteside off waivers from the New York Yankees according to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.
Whiteside, 33, played only 12 games for the Giants in 2012. He hit .091/.214/.182 with 2 RBI's and a .191 wOBA in just 14 plate appearances.
