If you were wondering when we would finally be relieved from the Corey Patterson show and see Travis Snider back with the Toronto Blue Jays, I’m afraid there are some bad news. Sportsnet’s Shi Davidi reported earlier today that the Blue Jays outfield prospect was hit on the bill of his helmet in an at-bat during last night’s game between the Las Vegas 51s and the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, and was removed from the game.
After Snider was hit by the pitch, he actually stayed in the game initially, but was removed from left field during the 5th innings as a result from slight dizziness. He had a CAT scan done today for precautionary reasons, and Davidi reports that the results came back negative.
This being said, Snider will not be in the Las Vegas lineup tonight, and will continue to be rested until the symptoms subside. Obviously, this is a disappointing setback in Snider’s path back to the majors, as he had been making good progress with doing what the Blue Ja...
