Keith Allison Time for some more predictions for a few players that might have already surprised us. Domonic Brown is a great young player that is starting to really get it together. Raul Ibanez is not so young, but he's mashing it in Seattle. Jason Kipnis is red hot. How will they do the rest of the year??? Let's make a few bold predictions. Domonic Brown | PHIBrown has found his way into the lineup as a full time player for Philadelphia and has taken advantage of it. He hasn't been quite as hot as he was in the month of May, but you will hear no complaints from owners. 21 homers by June 28 is far above what most of us expected, but how will he finish? Brown has two homers in the last 18 games. NL pitchers are starting to realize he loves to the pull the ball and will pitch him away for the rest of the year. Brown will still hit doubles for the rest of 2013, but his HR total will not be much above 30. Prediction: 31 HRRaul Ibanez | SEAThe ageless one has it 4 HRs and 10 RBI in the last 18 days. But more impressive than that, he has his HR total for the year up to 18 with 44 RBI. Ibanez was off to a very slow start this year, but has certainly picked it up of late. Ibanez is owned in 37% of ESPN leagues so he is probably available to be picked up. I would certainly go after him. I think he will finish the year strong hitting more than 30 HRS for the first time since 2009.  Prediction: 32 HR, 104 RBIJason Kipnis | CLEKipnis has been producing the way most of us thought he would. After hitting only .200 for the month April, he has his average up to .295 and has driven in 459 RBI. Hitting in the three hole seems to agree with Kipnis and I would suspect he will be seeing even better pitches with more runners on now that Cabrera has returned to the lineup. Jason is also swiping a few bags for owners, making him a valuable asset in the middle infield. Hang on to him unless you get an offer you can't refuse because I see a great second half for Jason Kipnis. I think I see another 30/30 candidate. Prediction: 30 HR, 102 RBI, 32 SBRecent Posts:Fantasy Aberration? Trend Spotting: On the star that is Jason Kipnis

Starting the second game of the Indians twin bill against the White Sox, splitting time between Seinfield and the torturously slow Jose Quintana, I began to pour over the absurdity of production that is Jason Kipnis. Perhaps it is “trendy” to discuss Jason’s torrid rate but for intents and purposes it is an unavoidable discourse that ends in me drooling over his fangraphs...

6/30 Recap: Indians - White Sox

Roster Update: As if eight relievers on the current roster and 17 different pitchers on the roster in the past five days wasn't enough, the Indians brought Nick Hagadone back to the team after just two days in Columbus. They were able to do this by placing Michael Bourn on the paternity list. Hopefully, the Indians will use this opportunity to rid themselves of Rich Hill for...

Indians aim for sweep in Chicago

It's been over 18 years since the Cleveland Indians swept a four-game series from the Chicago White Sox. The Indians may have to get the best of Chris Sale on Sunday to end that drought, but that wasn't a problem in their last matchup with Chicago's ace. Since losing a season-high eight straight, the Indians (43-38) have gone in the opposite direction by winning 13 of...

Corey Kluber, Indians fizzle out in series finale against Baltimore, lose 7-3

With the gaze of Cleveland sports fans firmly on the Cavaliers and the NBA draft, the Indians picked a good night to play uninspired baseball. Early on, it looked as though Corey Kluber (6-5, 4.16 ERA) would keep the Indians in the game and add another strong performance to his surprising summer. That came to a screeching halt in the fifth inning when Kluber allowed five runs. The...
