When I walk into Fenway Park, my entire body tingles. I look around and bask in the history of the place. The electricity in the atmosphere gets my blood pumping faster and I'm enveloped by a feeling of happiness, excitement, and pride. Yes, I said pride; I'm proud of our 'little ballpark that could.' The new ownership team has done some amazing things to the park. They've added thousands of seats (most of which I can't afford unfortunately) and they've made the park feel more modern. Not only that but they've thrown in a few traditions; you haven't lived until you've heard 37,000 people try to sing 'Sweet Caroline' in unison. It's terrible but amazing at the same time. I think everyone should get to visit Fenway once in their life which is why I'm thrilled that the owners have put in a request to host the 2012 All-Star Game. 2012 will be the 100th anniversary of the park and it'd be a perfect time to play host. Bud Selig and company haven't yet made a decision for anything after 2010 and we probably won't hear about it until near the end of next season. Still, picture Jon Lester pitching like Pedro Martinez did in 1999. ...mmm, the tingles are back.

  • Boston wont get the all-star game. There are too many new stadiums that need their first all star game
  • I'm not sure MLB can turn down the advertising and hype that comes with the first ever 100 year ballpark anniversary All-Star Game.
  • that is right. Fenway Park is a legend park, and people made big news over the Yankee Stadium, but Fenway has more tradition, and its the oldest, has more history and I love the green monster!!! In high school, I was able to see Fenway Park's lights and green monster, from the school's roof. It was amazing...LOLOL

But seriously, Fenway is just so beautiful, and tho its only been host to an All Sta game 3 times, it shuld have another chance. Especially with my Sox being so hot and competitive...

Fenway's just a cool place to be.. We will never tear it down, or make a new one like Yankee Stadium, as Fenway Park is a sacred place to us fans. But all in all, we shuld just have another all star game played at the best baseball park... hehe
