Via Rowland’s Office Blog and Ken Rosenthal’s twitter account the Braves have signed Catcher David Ross to a two year contract extension. The extension will keep Ross in Atlanta through the 2012 season.  Terms of the deal are not available yet.

Ross is probably good enough to get significantly more playing time elsewhere but he must like what he sees in Atlanta and is comfortable as Brian McCann’s back up. It is a good signing as you don’t have to worry about your options should McCann get hurt or need a day off.
