Memories Of Kevin Malone:
An interesting choice over Scott Elbert."The Dodgers have called up AA Chattanooga reliever Brent Leach to replace disabled Hong-Chih Kuo in the bullpen, reports David Paschall of the Chatanooga Times Free Press."I covered him briefly on my last minor league update, but I didn't expect him to get the call so soon.
"Brent Leach|LHP|AA|26-In 12 2/3 innings, he's struck out 17 batters and allowed just 1 earned run. He has walked 8 to go along with 12 hits allowed, but he's been pretty dominating this year. If he can cut the walk rate down significantly, he could be in the Dodger pen sooner than later, especially if it continues to be a mess."He's getting up there in years, so this isn't a bad time to find out if he can hack it at the major league level.
He will also be the subject of my next 'Prospect Profile', which will come...uh...soon. I think.
