Ryan Braun hit a two-run homer, getting back at Dodgers fans who booed his every move and leading the Milwaukee Brewers to a 2-1 victory over Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Mike Fiers (1-0) allowed a run and five hits in seven innings, striking out three and walking none in his first major league start and third appearance after being recalled from Triple-A Nashville. The 26-year-old right-hander gave up his only run when Andre Ethier doubled home Ivan De Jesus in the sixth for his NL-leading 43rd RBI. "I woke up this morning and it felt like Opening Day," Kemp said before the game, his first major league action since May 13. Though exciting, in the...

Michael Fiers and Martin Maldonado were supposed to be in Oklahoma City on Tuesday night, manning the battery for the Triple-A Nashville Sounds in their road series against the RedHawks. Instead, with a bit of offensive help from Ryan Braun, the battery mates blew through the best team in the major leagues. In their starting debuts with the Brewers on Tuesday, Fiers and Maldonado...

Eovaldi expected to be called up to start for Lilly

Nathan Eovaldi appears headed back to the Dodgers to make at least one start for left-hander Ted Lilly. Lilly was off to a brilliant start this season, going 6-1 with a 1.79 earned-run average in his seven starts before getting knocked around for eight runs in 3 13 innings in Arizona on Wednesday during his eighth start. Milwaukee Brewers' catcher Jonathan Lucroy goes on 15-day DL after suffering injury looking for missing sock

The month of May has not been particularly kind to the Milwaukee Brewers. In this month alone they have lost starting shortstop Alex Gonzalez for the season along with starting pitcher, Chris Narveson. On top of that two first basemen, a starting outfielder and an additional pitcher have all been put on the DL in the month of May alone.      However, I don't think they could...

Your browser does not support iframes. This week was supposed to one of positive news for Matt Kemp. Dodgers Players A.J. Ellis, Clayton Kershaw Rip Off Zach Galifianakis With 'Between Two Palm Trees' Show (Video)

Zach Galifianakis fans, look away. Los Angeles Dodgers players A.J. Ellis and Clayton Kershaw did their best impression of the comedian's Between Two Ferns online show, complete with the low-budget title cards and awkward interactions. It was aptly called Between Two Palm Trees, but nothing really can compare to the original cult classic. Ellis, playing the role of host, interviewed...

Bigger Surprise: Orioles or Dodgers?

As I’m writing this, the Dodgers and Orioles are both in first place, with neither team expected to make a major splash in the off-season (though our very own Thomas Wayne did predict a major improvement for the O’s this season. The Orioles currently sit at 29-19 (though they’re losing to the Blue Jays as I write). The bats have been there, with 5 regulars posting OPS+’s...
