Phew... Team USA may be eliminated from WBC play, but other than that, we have the best possible outcome—no Phillies were hurt. While a few MLB teams had players return to camp early with Purple Hearts, the Phils' representatives come back healthy, and maybe even a little fired up.

Jimmy Rollins capped off a great run in the tournament with a 4/4 night at the plate in USA's 9-4 loss to Japan Sunday night, including a triple, a walk, a steal, and a run scored. Too bad David Wright could only muster a 1/5 showing behind him, although his one hit was a double that knocked in J-Roll, who had singled and stolen second. Rollins finished the WBC with a .417 average, a homer, four RBI, and four steals. Shane Victorino hit .316.

Hopefully it translates into a fast start for two key members of the WFC.

Triple-A Bound?
Scott Lauber says Charlie Manuel has indicated that Jason Donald and John Mayberry Jr. will probably start the season in triple-A.
