A Jonathan Broxton account, (@Brox4AllStarz) showed up on Twitter shortly before the All-Star voting deadline, begging followers to send the Kansas City closer to the All-Star Game. The account was active for a few days, begging fans to send 'ol Broxy to the All-Star game, the majority of the tweets in the third person, with a simpleton's vocabulary.
Upon news of Jonathan Broxton's trade to the Cincinnati Reds, who will likely become the set-up man for Aroldis Chapman (who was not traded to the Chicago Cubs yesterday, that was a different Chapman), the account popped up on Twitter again gaining followers among the Cincinnati faithful...except there's one problem: The account is fake.
But the blantant fakeness hasn't stopped those from SinseeTown, as Broxton called it, from welcoming him to the team.
There were even questions for Broxton (or 'ol Broxy as he calls himself) about his preferred local cuisine
