You may love him or hate him, but you can’t deny that Bryce Harper is young and getting it. During his rookie season in 2012, Bryce Harper hit a .270/.340/.477 with 22 homers, 59 RBIs, 18 stolen bases in 139 games, and was voted NL Rookie of the Year. However even with his new level of stardom, he isn’t afraid to live like a 20 year old.
Last night Harper took a break from advising kids to be sexy and know it, so he could attend Jimmy Kimmel Live. During a casual sit down chat between two bros from Las Vegas, Harper revealed that he is very superstitious. In addition to having an abnormal pregame ritual, Harper spoke on the guy who mooned his first major league bat, joking that if asked he would have signed his butt.
“You kinda not try to think about that. It’s hard to worry about the fans as you’re facing [Chad] Billingsly. I wish that guy would have let me sign his butt or something. That’d be kinda cool.”
When I was growing up I was really superstitious,” Harper said. “I still am. I get to the field at 12 o’clock for a 7:05 game, and it starts from there. I shower seven times while I’m at the field and I don’t even need to. Yeah, it’s bad.
“As long as I’m doing good or my team’s winning, I’m gonna keep doing the same thing. Wearing the same undershirt, I mean, I eat Eggo waffles. It has to be Eggo before the game. I mean, it’s really weird. PB and honey, I mean, I’m really superstitious.”
Eating the exact same meal and wearing the same undershirt isn’t shocking. A lot of players have crazier pregame rituals especially if they are winning. However, showering seven times a day between noon and 7 p.m. is a bit extreme and costly. The water bill has to be outrageous, but luckily Harper is in the MLB and we all know they have no problem spending money.
The 20 year old NL Rookie of the year, was as smoothed and polished as his blown out mohawk, making his first late-night television appearance memorable- partially thanks to his mohawk.
Great job, bro!

In case you couldn't stay up late last night, here's video of Bryce Harper on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night in two parts. It only took a few seconds for the first "Clown Question" question. What we learned: Harper takes seven showers before each game, and eats Eggo waffles. All in all, the kid handled his first late-night TV appearance like an old pro - great job...
Whether you love him or hate him, most of us can agree that Bryce Harper is a pretty weird dude. Between telling little kids to be as sexy as they can and dressing up like a clown for Halloween, the 20-year-old has done some pretty bizarre things since he burst onto the MLB scene last year. But nothing is quite as strange as he pregame ritual.

Bryce Harper is a crazy dude to say the least. From his crazy porno mustache, to rocking his RG3 style socks in church, he does some crazy things, but we enjoy every minute of it. He recently went on Jimmy Kimmel live, and admitted to taking seven showers before every game. He also has to have his ego waffles prior to game time. Before his first major league at bat a couple...
So Bryce Harper will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC tonight at 11:35 along with Rob Lowe and rapper Big Boi. [Go ahead, insert your own "Clown Question, bro" joke here.]
The appearance will be Harper's late night television debut; and most likely only the second time a Washington Nationals player has appeared on late night TV (Stephen Strasburg read the Top 10 list...
Washington Nationals phenom Bryce Harper made an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Tuesday night. Unlike in a past interview, Harper agreed to answer some of Kimmel's clown questions. Naturally, baseball players are considered the most superstitious athletes in sports. When asked about his superstitions, here is what Harper had to say:“I get to the field at 12:00 for...
In 2012 Bryce Harper made headlines on and off the field. Last night he went on Jimmy Kimmel Live to answer some “Clown questions, bro.”
Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals made his first late-night television appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night. He talked clown questions, the infamous first-at-bat moon, Las Vegas, and superstitions.
Not a bad interview for his first time on the late night circuit. I hope Bryce Harper becomes the next spokesman of ego waffles.

Last night would have been my first night watching an entire episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. It started at 11:30 PM ET, and I was already struggling. I wanted to have a post up about this last night, but I did the smart thing and called it quits just before midnight. I figured the show’s producer would keep me up at least another hour and send Rob Lowe on stage before Harper got...
Kimmel is back with his blockbuster series, “Jimmy Talks to Kids”, this time hes asking elementary school kids what the differences are between a boy and a girl. In the crazy world of linebacker’s pseudo fake girlfriends and catfish, it’s nice to see some simple pure comedy. It’s like the best parts of Kindergarten Cop, supercut into a 2 minute video. Hilarity ensues.
If you're ready for a Question of the Week that will blow your mind, we have it in this week's podcast. (Hint: It's about Bryce Harper and Giancarlo Stanton.) We talk about the Adam LaRoche signing and what it means for Michael Morse. We heap praise upon Mike Rizzo, talk about the projected Nats lineup, and a lot more. Join us for one of the last offseason versions of...
Baseball is a funny game sometimes. The two players who could shape the game for the next decade are ranked at this position...and neither was a full-timer last year. Yes, Mike Trout and Bryce Harper will be playing left field in 2013, and both were center fielders in 2012. Harper's move was justified by the trade of Denard Span to the Nationals, while Trout shifted to left after...
