The San Francisco Giants saw their six game win streak come to an end with their 6-2 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday Night. Bumgarner gave up three runs in the second inning, the most given up in a game all season. Two singles, a walk and a double gave Philadelphia a 3-0 lead. He continued to struggle for the first time this year. In the fifth he gave a double to Michael Young, who finished the game 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. In that same fifth inning, Domonic Brown hit his sixth home run of the season. Bumgarner allowed 5 runs for the first time since the 2012 NLCS last October, when the St. Louis Cardlinals scored six off the lefty. Still, with this rough outing, Bumgarner increased his ERA to just 2.31 on the season. Hunter Pence scored the only two runs for the Giants.
