TEAMS: Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, Tampa Bay Rays
Brandon Snyder hit an absolute blast off of Orioles’ pitcher Brian Matusz this evening. The Baltimore Orioles took on the Texas Rangers, and the Rangers put on a display. The Texas team clubbed 19 hits in 44 at bats for a total of 14 runs. Most notably, Rangers’ third baseman, Brandon Snyder had a career day. Snyder went 3-5 with a home run and six RBI.
The Orioles entered the game with MLB’s best record, but after suffering the 14-3 shellacking, they now share that spot with the Tampa Bay Rays and Texas Rangers. All three teams sit at 19-10. If you are wondering how Baltimore has managed such a good record this season, it’s probably because these guys give absolute full effort on EVERY play…Even when the play looks impossible. Check out the Snyder blast and attempt of Adam Jones on this home run. Can’t say he didn’t try. But note: You can’t catch the ball with your glove in the wall.
