The St. Louis Cardinals won the National League Championship Series in six games over the Los Angeles Dodgers. They capped off their series win with a 9-0 pounding, scoring seven runs off Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw through four innings. The Cardinals are an offensive machine, and even though one of their biggest cogs, first baseman Allen Craig, has missed the entire postseason so far, the Cardinals did not seem to miss his production. Craig, though, believes that he will play in the World Series. MLB.com’s Jenifer Langosch and Chad Thronburg report that Craig has resumed live batting practice. He also took ten simulated at bats before Game 6 began. In addition, he performed some on-field running drills and reported no issues with his left foot that he fractured in early September.
