Cardinals sign RHP Blaine Boyer and LHP Ron Mahay

According to a team announcement, the St. Louis Cardinals have signed right-handed pitcher Blaine Boyer and left-handed pitcher Ron Mahay.

Boyer, 29, pitched in five games with the New York Mets this season.  He went 0-2 with a 10.80 ERA.

The 40-year-old Mahay last pitched in the big leagues with the Minnesota Twins.  He has a lifetime 27-12 record with a 3.83 ERA in 514 Major League games.
