Found July 31, 2006 on Baseball Musings:
Detroit acquired Pittsburgh Pirates' first baseman Sean Casey in exchange for minor-league pitcher Brian Rogers. To make room for Casey, the Tigers optioned Chris Shelton to Triple-A Toledo. Casey's a much steadier hitter than Shelton, but he's got no pop for a first baseman - only three homers on the season, though he has a much higher OBP (.377 to .343) than Shelton. It's a decent pickup for the Tigers, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's not the only one they make today.
