Todd Helton will quietly finish his career next month. The next month will probably go just as Todd Helton would have planned it.As Denver and the rest of Colorado turn their eyes towards the Broncos and their chances of winning the Super Bowl, the Colorado Rockies will play out the final string of games with barely any fanfare. It is a common scenario. This season, however, is different...

Jonah Keri of ESPN's Grantland tweeted out this hilarious video of Colorado Rockies first base coach Rene Lachemann lecturing a young Phillies fan during Wednesday night's Rockies-Phillies game. The speech, which was shared on the Phillies broadcast, was spurred by Lachemann giving the fan a ball and then going on a run of typical "be a good kid" tips, including...

The Miami Marlins held Legends of Wrestling Night on Saturday at Marlin Park, and wrestler Bill Goldberg set the tone for the night by spearing the catcher after the ceremonial first pitch.
Goldberg had a custom Marlins jersey and delivered the spear to an anonymous catcher who was clearly the designated victim, but it was great to see...
MIAMI -- Jose Fernandez is turning Marlins Park into the place to be.
The 21-year-old captured his 10th win of the season -- his seventh straight on home turf -- with seven strong innings and eight strikeouts in a 3-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday.
In four of Fernandez's last five starts, the Marlins have drawn more than 20,000 fans.
The precious grains of sand are rapidly slipping away through the hourglass of Jose Fernandez’s rookie season as the innings pile up.
If Saturday was the final appearance of the season on the mound at Marlins Park for the Cuban phenom the 3-0 victory over the Rockies was a fitting finale for a dominant maiden home campaign.

Wilin Rosario – The Rockies Catcher exploded onto the seen last season, his first full season in the Bigs. He crushed 28 homers and hit .270/.312/.530 in 396 at-bats. Those numbers from any rookie would make GMs drool. But those stats from a catcher will make adult bibs a must. This year Rosario is clipping at 20 homers .286/.313/.494 in 385 at-bats through Thursday...
Losing five of the first seven on this 10-game homestand has left the Marlins in a precarious spot. Keeping in mind nobody figured they would factor into the National League East race this season it's conceivable the Marlins before month's end will be altogether eliminated.
Thursday's 6-0 loss to Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers at Marlins Park dropped the club's...
