Yesterday no play was posted due to most MLB lines not being posted with the final days of the regular season creating so much uncertainty with who will be playing. Today marks the final day of the regular season and I could not be any happier. Because I have done much better in the post season then regular season when it comes to MLB wagering. Just to back things up one step we do need to mark down the loss that was DEAD wrong from the get go with the civ Dallas Cowboys on MNF. The overall record now sits at: 18-19 -1.85 Units

Today one last regular season MLB wager: UNDER 8.5 -117 MINNESOTA TWINS (Scott Diamond)/TORONTO BLUE JAYS (Brendan Morrow)

We can start with Scott Diamond here who will be making an extra special start in his home country of Canada. I expect this to be an even bigger incentive for him playing infront of tons and friends and family from nearby Guelph, Ontario. Furthermore, he has the numbers to back it up with a 3.54 ERA and 1.24 WHIP. While he’s struggled at later points during the season having had to pitch this deep into a season for the first time in his career his last two starts have shown great signs of getting back on tracking. Having gone up against the potent bats of the Detroit Tigers in 2 starts only giving up 3 ER in 14 IP. I don’t expect the Blue Jays bats which have been below average since the loss of Bautista earlier in the year to have success against him.

As for the Jays Morrow was one of the best pitchers in the bigs prior to his injury half way through the year. It’s taken him a while to regain his form since coming off the DL, especially on his home field where he will be today including coming off back to back starts without surrendering a run in 13 IP combined. Their hitting has been average at best all year ranking in the bottom half of stats throughout the season, nothing has changed recently scoring 4 runs or less in 6 of their past 8 and that will not change here.

Look for this to be a competitive low scoring affair.

Diamond looks sharp, but it's not enough

Perhaps fittingly, left-hander Scott Diamond was on the hill to start the final game of the Minnesota Twins' 2012 season Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays.It was fitting for several reasons. It meant that Minnesota's most consistent starting pitcher got to toe the rubber one more time, reminding the Twins that they have at least one spot in next year's rotation...

Twins must rebuild rotation nearly from scratch

Terry Ryan's challenge this winter is simply stated, and it will be difficult to execute. The Twins general manager needs to build a rotation from scratch. Minnesota used 12 pitchers to start games this season, and only one of them, rookie left-hander Scott Diamond, has earned a job for 2013. Minnesota's starters were the worst in the AL, 39-75 with a 5.40 ERA, and the...
