Andy Martino of the Daily News shoots down the report from MLB Network that Dickey wants a 3 year, $45 million deal. He tweets:
Dickey not seeking 3/45. Not even close. We’ve reported for weeks 2 yr extension he wants is less than Peavy’s 2/29, on top of 5 mil option.
Well, that’s more like it…
That’s a significant difference, especially if it’s on top of the $5 million which would give the Mets some breathing room as far as additional spending goes for 2013.

R.A. Dickey’s agent, Bo McKinnis, told ESPN New York that he would not be surprised to see Dickey get traded.
“It’s hard to gauge,” McKinnis said. “We have enough of a difference of opinion that if R.A. does get traded, I can’t say I would be surprised.
