While in a hotel room awaiting to take the field for tonight’s game against the Mets, Braves third baseman Chipper Jones complained on Twitter about the TV in his hotel room not working properly. Sure enough, someone came up to fix it, but Jones didn’t even have to call the front desk. Someone at that front desk must’ve seen Jones tweets and knew to send someone up there. Here were Jones’ tweets:
If anyone was thinkin about stayin at the Grand Hyatt in NY,dont! My AC is set on 65 and its north of 80 in here. Like a freaken sauna!
The movie channels dont work and the beds make my back spasm up! Am i complaining too much? Im sorry, gotta vent to someone. Love yall!!!
Ahh the power of social media. TV guy just showed up at my door. Didnt even have to call the front desk. See what happens when u vent a tad?

Theyve been maligned, and deservedly so at times, but Braves relievers have done little wrong of late.
The Braves have been playing mix and match with the guys in the bullpen throughout this season, but theyve finally put together a Steady Seven. Im not ready to call them the Spectacular Seven yet, and especially not the overused Magnificent Seven. No, steady does it.
But nicknames...

Paul Maholm Steps Right Up and Beasts the Mets
In his second start since being traded to the Atlanta Braves, Paul Maholm shut out the Mets on Friday night, allowing just 3 hits and walking none while striking out 5.
Maholm, who had faced the minimum through 5.1 innings, needed just 95 pitches to go the distance for his 4th career shutout. He now has a 3.50 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP on the season, both of which would be career bests...

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Dan Uggla hit a tiebreaking three-run double in the seventh after Tim Hudson blew a five-run lead and the Atlanta Braves beat the Philadelphia Phillies 12-6 Wednesday night.

Braves beat Phils again, head to Big Apple
Dan Ugga’s looks to be emerging from a deep and prolonged slump.
The Philadelphia Phillies are no longer the team to beat in the National League East and the Braves know it. They may not need to beat the Phillies, but that hasn’t stopped them from kicking the Phillies while they are down. Monday night’s win against the Phillies was the Braves’ 7th consecutive win against...

Cole Hamels five-hit the Braves as the Phils finally end their losing streak with Atlanta, winning 3-0.
The Phils took a quick 1-0 lead in the first as Dom Brown hits an RBI double, knocking in Jimmy Rollins, who had started the inning off with a double. Two batters later, with Brown still on second base, and now with one man out, Ryan Howard hits a two-run home run, his fifth home...
Kendrick Struggles, Bullpen Implosion Leads to 12-6 Blowout Loss to Atlanta
The pesky Braves just can't lose, can they? Other than last night's gem of a game from Hamels, the Braves have dominated the Phillies all season. Tonight, they showed great patience at the plate and got Kyle Kendrick to exit the game early, just to tear up the Phils' bullpen. In the rubber match of this series, Phillies fans were caught with their hands shielding their...

The Mets look to improve off of yesterdays win as the suddenly extremely successful Braves come into town.
