Cliff Lee has reportedly agreed to a 5-year, $100M deal with the Philadelphia Phillies. Apparently, the left-hander turned down a larger contract with the Yankees — 6 years and $138M (plus an option for a seventh year at $16M) — in order to rejoin the team that traded him for Roy Halladay just a year ago. Pretty remarkable turn of events, if you ask me. The Yankees are left in a tough spot and may be forced to explore the trade market in order to flesh out their current rotation.
